How to Edit Scheduled Posts
Need to update a scheduled post? Posttely allows you to edit content, media, channels, and schedule of posts before they're published.
What Can You Edit?
- Post content and text
- Images and media
- Selected channels
- Date and time
- Time zone
Step-by-Step Editing Process
- Go to Scheduled Posts: Navigate to Scheduled Posts or Calendar
- Find Post: Locate the scheduled post you want to edit
- Click Edit: Click the Edit button on the post card
- Make Changes: Update content, media, or schedule
- Save Changes: Click Save or Update Post
- Confirmation: Changes are saved and post is updated
Editing Post Content
- Open post for editing
- Modify text in the content area
- Update hashtags or mentions
- Save changes
- Post content is updated
Editing Media
- Open post for editing
- Remove existing media if needed
- Add new images or videos
- Replace media files
- Save changes
Changing Channels
- Open post for editing
- Deselect channels you don't want
- Select new channels
- Save changes
- Post will publish to new channels
Editing Schedule
- Open post for editing
- Click Schedule or Change Time
- Select new date and time
- Update time zone if needed
- Save changes
Important Notes
- You can only edit posts that haven't been published
- Published posts cannot be edited
- All changes are saved immediately
- Editing doesn't affect already published posts
- Review changes before saving
Bulk Editing
- Select multiple scheduled posts
- Use bulk actions to edit
- Apply changes to all selected posts
- Efficient for campaign updates
Troubleshooting
If you can't edit a post:
- Check if post has been published
- Verify you have permission to edit
- Ensure post is in scheduled status
- Try refreshing the page
