Connecting Your Twitter Profile to Posttely

Twitter (now X) is a real-time social networking platform. Connect your Twitter account to Posttely to schedule tweets, manage your content, and engage with your audience.

Prerequisites

  • A Twitter/X account
  • An active Posttely account
  • Access to your Twitter account credentials

Step-by-Step Connection Guide

  1. Navigate to Channels: Go to Channels from the main menu
  2. Click Add Channel: Select Twitter from the platform list
  3. Authorize with Twitter: You'll be redirected to Twitter's authorization page
  4. Sign in to Twitter: Enter your Twitter credentials
  5. Grant Permissions: Allow Posttely to access your Twitter account
  6. Authorize App: Click Authorize app to complete the connection
  7. Verify Connection: Your Twitter account should now appear in your channels

Post Guidelines

  • Maximum 280 characters per tweet (or 25,000 for Twitter Blue subscribers)
  • Up to 4 images per tweet
  • Videos up to 2 minutes 20 seconds
  • GIFs supported
  • Polls (up to 4 options)

Twitter Threads

Create multi-tweet threads:

  1. Create your first tweet
  2. Add additional tweets to continue the thread
  3. Each tweet can be up to 280 characters
  4. Schedule the entire thread at once

Important Notes

  • Twitter API has rate limits - be mindful of posting frequency
  • Some features require Twitter Blue subscription
  • Twitter has strict content policies
  • Posts are subject to Twitter's review and may be flagged
  • Two-factor authentication is recommended for security

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues:

  • Verify your Twitter account is active and not suspended
  • Check that you've granted all necessary permissions
